KAM Unlimited, Inc. started in 2014. Word quickly began to spread about the installation capacity quality of our team and the subs brought in for larger jobs. Soon, several industry friends and contacts were reaching out to us to start helping them on their projects throughout the Midwest. As both businesses began to take off, the projects became larger and the demand soared. Before we even opened our website and started marketing our services, we were in the top 3 in the nation in film subcontracting.
Scaling a traveling subcontracting business can be very challenging. The inherent struggle of continual and steady work while balancing out the work/home life-needs of our team was proving to be quite challenging – there had to be a better way. Putting all minds together from both companies, outside consultants and some major manufacturers resulted in a unique concept: we placed strategic hubs in certain pockets of the country as geographical bases? From these locations, we could build large regional teams that were working with their local dealers and competitors as well as our extended networks. The concept worked. We have hubs in Chicago, St Louis and presently expanding down into the Gulf Region. On the large, high-profile projects we are able to partner up with our regional installers and a highly vetted team of extended core companies that will service you and your clients as if they were their own.
What makes KAM unique is the fact that we were dealers first. We understand our clients’ mindset. You don’t want to pay extra to bring in an installation company and then have to manage them and their work. You need turn-key and you want to be able to turn over a project and worry about the rest of your business – we get that and it’s what we are most proud of. We don’t overbook or overextend ourselves – if we can’t schedule it, we won’t do it because your time and your trust are everything to us.
